At Accru Harris Orchard, we believe in giving back and encourage you to get involved in our community initiatives:
- Red Cross Red25 Community – Our team regularly donates blood as part of this important initiative.
- KickStart for Kids – Staff volunteer to help provide breakfast for underprivileged children or mentor at KickStart’s school holiday camps.
- Hutt St Centre – We organise donations of food, toiletries, clothing, and blankets to support South Australia’s homeless community. We also take part in the annual Walk a Mile in My Boots fundraiser.
Whether it’s donating blood, serving breakfast, or raising funds, there are plenty of ways to contribute. If you have a cause that’s important to you, let us know – we’ll support you with time to make a difference.

Marketing
As you engage with clients and contacts, it’s useful to be aware of our marketing initiatives and how you can get involved:
- Branding – If you need logos or branded materials, we have resources and guidelines available here.
- Website – We maintain a dynamic website featuring regular articles and podcasts. Accru also has a national website where we contribute newsworthy articles.
- Articles – We showcase our clients and the ways we help them build great businesses. If you work with a client who would benefit from publicity, let them know. We also publish articles on industry news, tax updates, and other relevant topics.
- Owner Insights Podcast – Our monthly podcast, hosted by James Orchard, features stories and insights from business owners. Episodes are promoted across our website, social media, and podcast platforms.
- Social Media – We actively post on LinkedIn and Facebook. We encourage staff to like, comment, and share content, especially when highlighting clients through articles and the podcast.
- Newsletters – Each month, we send a Client Alert with accounting, tax, and superannuation updates, along with other ad-hoc newsletters (eg Federal Budget updates). These also promote our articles and podcasts.
- Client Feedback – We run a Net Promoter Score (NPS) program, emailing clients annually to rate our service. Positive responders are invited to leave Google reviews, while those with concerns receive follow-ups from our marketing team.
